Best Practices in Managing Project Risks
項目風險掌控有法
10 December 2010
Some of the biggest risks faced by NGOs come from taking on new and challenging projects. Generally, the more exciting and different the projects, the higher is the risk of non-completion and cost overrun. Whether these projects are fitting out projects, property development projects, or IT projects, success only comes to those who can properly mitigate such risks, plan ahead, and put in preventive controls. As a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Aon Hong Kong Limited is proud to co-organise a seminar with Hong Kong Council of Social Service Institute to address this exciting theme – managing project risks.
A panel of experts on risk management property development, construction, IT and professional services will share with you what are the leading best practices that can be adopted by NGOs. The seminar also coincides the release of a new guidebook on the Governance of Project Risks – A Guide for Non-governmental Organisations. This guidebook by Aon Global Risk Consulting is designed for directors and senior management of NGO boards who are often accountable for the success and failure of projects by making relevant decisions.
This practical seminar and guidebook aims to:
- Share knowledge on best practices in mitigating risks;
- Provide templates and checklists for directors to implement stronger levels of Project Governance and Risk Management;
- Provide an easy-to-understand guide for directors to follow in order to perform their stewardship role throughout the project life cycle; and
- Help directors detect problems in their projects at early stages.
All NGO directors and executives are welcome to participate. Due to limited space, you are strongly encouraged to enrol as soon as possible. The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese.(Download Enrollment Form HERE)
Fee: Free of Charge
Code: 10B-RiskMgt
The Guidebook will be available for download, free of charge, after the seminar.
