THE AGENDA
- Tackle the causes of poverty and ensure every family achieves a basic standard of wellbeing.
- Support parents and foster a positive environment for families to raise children.
- Empower families and enhance community care, especially in light of the rapidly ageing population and lengthening life spans of people with disabilities.
- Cross the divide between business and society to encourage better work-life balance in families, and in doing so, improve families’ standards of living.
- Embrace diversity across families, particularly those in transition.
STRATEGIES FOR CHANGE
- Foster an inter-disciplinary approach in serving families among the government, business and non-profit sectors.
- Incubate innovative projects to improve the resilience of families and their ability to adapt to an ever-changing world.
- Conduct impact assessments to inform policymakers on the effect of policies on family wellbeing.
