Objectives

To equip social enterprise practitioners and other executives with essential business knowledge and operational skills in running a social enterprise.

Characteristics

  • A cross-disciplinary training curriculum enabling students to learn business skills with business and social angels
  • Site visits to strengthen what are learnt in tutorial
  • Guest speakers from Caring Companies and social enterprises are invited to share practical experiences in running business

Target Participants

Middle level personnel in existing SE projects or those planning to start social business in both NGO and private sector

He leads a team of 220 staff and 1,000 trained volunteers rendering 24-hourly operating supportive and relief service to the thousands of elders and chronic invalids in Hong Kong. With his successful fundraising experience, he is a trainer on Fundraising and SQS and has conducted lots of staff training for the NGOs on topics like Team Building, Creativity and Innovation, Leading Efficient Meeting, Resource Development, Efficient and Effective Supervision Funding Proposal, etc.

Aged 36, Jacky holds a Bachelor and a Master degree in Economics from HKU and an EMBA degree from CUHK. He also serves as the Chief Executive of Hong Kong Health Care Federation and the Vice President of Innovative Entrepreneur Association. He is a columnist in Hong Kong Economic Times since 1999. Recently, Jacky has been granted full scholarship from Harvard Business School for an executive course on Non-profit Organisation Management. Founded in 2003, BAMBOOS is the largest private nursing service supplier and a leading medical staffing solution company in Hong Kong.
