PR Forum for NGOs 2008

Public Relations in the Virtual World

Introduction

By now, we have to agree that Internet-enabled, networked audiences will force change upon the communications industry whether the participants like it or not, even for the specialists who are working in the social welfare sector. New media is here to stay and is quickly becoming a leading outlet for telling our stories.

In today’s high-tech world, how can we be effective in PR? Would there be any new PR technologies that can help in story-telling, fundraising and connecting with our stakeholders? Some new media and their effectiveness in PR and fundraising campaigns and strategies would be discussed in the Forum.
