Theme of Senior Citizen's Day
Since last year, the theme of SCD is “Age Friendly City” with focus in eight areas of city living:
- outdoor spaces and buildings;
- transportation;
- housing;
- social participation;
- respect and social inclusion;
- civic participation and employment;
- communication and information; and
- community support and health services.
The idea is to optimize the opportunities for health, participation and security in order to enhance quality of life as people age.
