Main Programs

A series of programs and events will be held to celebrate the Senior Citizen's Day as follows:

1. A one-stop informative website for Caregivers
 

To support caregiver and make life easier for them and care recipients, HKCSS will build a one-stop informative website CARINGEASY by providing useful tips, advice, information of elderly care products and resources to the family caregiver of the elderly.  It also helps caregivers to choose products and service supplier by rating system.

2. Age-friendly Cities with Cooperation & Participation – The Asian Pacific Perspective Regional Conference
 

In collaboration with 15 local and overseas universities and organizations, the caption conference will be held in Nov 19th & 20th.  The theme capitalizes on the promotion of inter-disciplinary collaboration and inter-sectoral cooperation in enabling an age-friendly environment for our senior citizens in society. This could also be a follow-up for the special workshop hosted by WHO in the International Federation on Ageing 10th Global Conference in Melbourne, May 2010 on the Age-Friendly City, to demonstrate the extent to which how countries and cities in the Asia Pacific region have promoted and accomplished age-friendliness. 3. InnoCarnival 2010
  As a result of widespread use and robust innovation across the information technology, life can be more independent and interesting.  To ensure that seniors can enjoy the fruits of innovation, it’s time to provide senior with an interactive lifeline to the world, empowering them to live move robust, healthful and independent lives.  Partnered with Innovation and Technology Commission, HKCSS will arrange around 10,000 elders to join the InnoCarnival 2010 from Nov 6 to Nov 14.  Elders will see how technology as a medium for entertainment and data collection can enhance our quality of life.
4. Caregivers seminar and Inauguration of CARINGEASY Website
  To Mark the inauguration of CARINGEASY Website, caregiver seminars will be conducted from time to time. An unveiling ceremony will also consist of two topic seminar.  The detail is as follows:
