Established in 2005, Nutong Xueshe aims to raise public awareness on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.

Our endeavor is to create multiple dialogues especially on around taboo subjects amongst diverse marginalized communities. We believe in self-empowerment and strive to activate the transformative power of sexual minorities.

Nutong Xueshe launched a resource website “rainbow station” in September 2005 in which we collect and publish articles on a wide range of issues from sexual orientations, gender identity, coming out to intimacy. We also organize thematic workshops, visual art creative workshops, video production trainings, public forums, talks and art exhibitions.

In 2008, Nutong Xueshe set up the Hong Kong first online TV “G dot TV” as an informative platform for the community of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. This platform enables us to produce video from the perspective and interest of sexual minorities. It also challenges the stereotypical images that the mainstream media relentlessly reproduce and advocates for a greater equality between peoples of different genders and sexualities.
