Symposium
on Partnership :
Service Planning & Funding Arrangement
|
|
In this
symposium, we have invited two Australian speakers to share with
us their experiences. In late 1999, the Minister for Community Services
for the Victorian Government announced the establishment of the
Community Care Review to develop a new framework for Community Care
that fosters partnerships. The two speakers will share with us their
new initiatives in Partnerships, both from the angle of funding
arrangement and service planning.
We have also invited
Mrs Carrie Lam, DSW, to share with us the Hong Kong Government’s
considerations in public fund allocations and partnerships with
NGO sector. The Hon Dr C.K. Law will then respond
to the speakers and comment on the implications to Hong
Kong.
The afternoon session will be a local sharing on the two
important areas : Partnerships in community care and public fund allocations.
Representatives from the Government and NGOs have been invited to
share and to spark off this meaningful discussion.
